The Photo Contest: "It's Not Easy Being Green"

Judging from the the entries, this was the most challenging contest we have had in many years. Nonetheless a few photographers submitted excellent images which you will see here.

Our Grand Prize winner is Jeanne M. Mounier and her image "Life on a Leaf". The image was expertly composed and shot and captures the spirit of our theme. It is a wonderful study of a caterpillar.

Mounier will receive an iPod Nano 2 GB from myphonescreen.com. He will also receive the Shuttermom Gold Package from shuttermom.com, and Power Retouche. Photoshop plug-ins for high quality photo editing, retouching and image editing.    

The runner-up was equally well-done and captured the intent of our theme to the upmost. "It's Not Easy Doing Farming and Keeping Land Green and Productive" by Kailash Mittal of India, is a beautiful landscape and also sends the message of hard work and perseverance. The composition is excellent.

Mittal will receive a copy of ACDSeePro by ACDSystems.

Before sending in your images, please be sure to read over the submission guidelines at: http://www.apogeephoto.com/contest.shtml. We received many images for this contest that were sent in the wrong format, that were too small, or attached incorrectly to your email. Also remember, your images must be sent via email. We will not accept photos sent by regular mail.
