The Photo Contest: Double Exposure Good double exposures can be happy accidents or carefully planned. This contest included entries of both kinds.
We chose George Louis Jacobs's black and white image of a violinist, Robert Rodié, as the winner. George submitted three images, all of which were special in some way. We chose this one because it showed the most dynamism, character, and intensity. George will receive a copy of CompuPic Pro.
Jim Block submitted a series of beautiful slides. We chose this one as the runner up because of the color and incredible detail. Whether they were carefully planned compositions or happy accidents, we couldn't tell. They were all beautiful examples of when double exposures really work. Jim will receive a year's subscription to "PhotoTechniques Magazine".
The entries we chose for honorable mention all had something special about them. The vivid colors of Robert Pratto's "Pineapple" really caught our eye. The humor in Kevin Bacher's "Randy and his Guitar" made his image stand out. "Young Man's Face/Accident Scene" by Gail Rothenberg could be a touching memorial to a young man. Joel B. McEachern and Joshua Matthews' entries are delightful abstracts.
